SharePoint CRM V1.1 Released

After reports of issues creating sites on older versions, I setup another development server with an older version of SharePoint 2010 to re-create the issue.

I’ve now resolved the issue, so anyone previously having trouble creating a site can get the new release from my CodePlex Project.

The latest release is confirmed working on the following versions:

  • On Premise – 14.0.0.6029
  • On Premise – 14.0.0.6120
  • Office 365 Enterprise – 14.0.0.6120

Update – Now confirmed working on version 14.0.0.4762, so now compatible with all versions!

CRM/Project Management Site Template – Released!

The time has finally come to release my CRM site template into the wild.  So for anyone with a SharePoint 2010 Enterprise server or Office 365 tenant wishing to download it can do so from here.

With my latest CSS updates it now offers a new look, and offers the following features:

  • User Friendly – Due to a custom UI
  • Client List/Contacts management
  • Project Management – With associated documents, tasks & sales
  • Sales
  • Client Enquiry – Showing any items related to a client
  • Reporting – Utilising Excel 2010
  • Integrated User Guide

Introducing SharePoint CRM Site Template

Several months ago I was tasked with creating a project management solution within SharePoint, it soon became clear than just an InfoPath form and list wasn’t going to cut the mustard.  Realising I was going to invest huge amounts of my time, I decided I’d make the solution to be a re-usable site template that could be restored on Office 365 Enterprise tennants & on premise Enterprise SharePoint servers.

Using only SharePoint Designer 2010 & Infopath Designer 2010, I’ve managed to create a site template with the following features:

  • Contacts
  • Projects & Tasks
  • Sales
  • Documents
  • Reporting

Along the way a custom UI was created to show these related items within various screens, creating a solution thats easy to use within little or no SharePoint knowledge.  Over time I’ll be posting videos to show off the functionality, but for now here’s a couple of screen shots:
